For rescues & foster networks

Every animal, every foster, in one place.

Fosterdesk replaces the spreadsheet that small rescues run on. Log intakes, keep your foster homes and place animals with them today, with medical records and reminders to follow.

Free while we are in early access. No card, no contract.

Sound familiar?

The spreadsheet nobody trusts
Three versions of the animal list, two of them out of date, and only one person who knows which is which.
Who has the dog?
He went to a foster in March. Which household, and whether they still have him, lives in the head of whoever placed him.
A round of messages for every intake
Finding a home with room that takes cats means asking around each time, because nobody can see who is full.

What it does

Built around your animals and foster homes

Purpose-built for the way foster-based rescues actually work — not a generic CRM bent into shape.

Animal intake & profiles

One record per animal — species, age, microchip, intake source and current status. No more hunting through three spreadsheets to find out where a dog is.

Foster network & placements

Keep your fosters, their capacity and the species they take in one place, then see who has room and which animal is placed where.

Search & filters Soon

Find any animal by name or microchip number, and narrow a list by species, status or foster home.

Your team Soon

Invite coordinators by email, each with their own login. Admins run the team and settings, coordinators run the records.

Medical & vaccination records Soon

Vaccinations, treatments, spay/neuter and vet visits attached to the animal, so the history travels with them from intake to adoption.

Tasks & reminders Soon

Booster shots, follow-up calls, foster check-ins. Assign them, set a date, and stop relying on someone remembering in a group chat.

How it works

From the phone call about a stray to the day they go home.

  1. Add your animals

Log an intake in under a minute: species, microchip, where they came from, and how they are with dogs, cats and children.

  2. Match a foster

See who has space and what they can handle, then place the animal with a home from its record.

  3. Record how they leave

When they are adopted, returned to their owner or transferred out, set their status. The record stays, and their place in the foster home is free again.

Questions

Is this only for big shelters?

No — it is built for small and mid-sized rescues and foster networks, including groups with no physical shelter at all. If you run everything out of spreadsheets and a group chat today, this is aimed squarely at you.

What does it cost?

Nothing while we are in early access, for up to 30 active animals at a time. After that, up to 15 active animals is free for good. Up to 50 active animals is €9.99 a month, and up to 150 is €29.99 a month. We will be upfront with you well before anything is ever charged.

What counts as an active animal?

An animal currently in your care: in intake, in foster, on hold or adoption pending. Once an animal is adopted or leaves your care, their record stays but stops counting.

Can our fosters log in themselves?

That is the plan: fosters get their own limited account to post updates and photos on the animals they are caring for, so coordinators are not the bottleneck for every small thing.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Fosterdesk runs in the browser, so it works on a phone, tablet or laptop with nothing to install. There is no separate app to download.

Can we bring in our existing spreadsheet?

Not yet. A spreadsheet import is not built, but it is one of the first things rescues ask about, and what early-access rescues tell us decides what gets built next.

Can we get our data out if we leave?

Yes. Your records are yours: delete any animal or foster home from its own page, or ask and we will export everything for you, or delete it all for good.

Who can see our data?

Your organisation only. Every animal and foster home belongs to your account, and the server checks that on every request.
